Presentation Guidelines
Dear
authors, it is important that you comply with all the following
instructions so
that you and your colleagues will get the most benefit from your
presentations.
Oral Presentation Instructions
-
Each oral presentation is allocated
15 minute time slot for your presentation. There will be 5 minutes
for questions directly after your presentation. You will not be able
to extend your time if you have technical problems during your talk.
A technical assistant will be on hand for equipment operation.
-
Prepare your presentation as a single PowerPoint file to run on an
IBM compatible computer with Microsoft Office 2003. This program
will run PowerPoint 2003 and all previous versions of PowerPoint.
Save your file as a normal PowerPoint file (.ppt). Do not save your
file as a PowerPoint Show (.pps) file.
-
Bring one copy of your presentation to the conference with both a CD
and a USB module ( "pen") for uploading prior to your
presentation.
Make sure the presentation file is properly labeled with your name,
presentation day, and time.
-
We provide audio visual equipment
including a labtop PC running MS Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat
Reader, a data projector and a microphone.
-
Conference organizers will
upload
all presentations
onto the
conference
labtop before the session starts.
Presenters will NOT be allowed to use their own laptop computers.
MacIntosh computers will NOT be available.
Poster
Presentation Instructions
Poster sessions are a valuable method for authors to present
papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical
discussions. Therefore, it is important that you display your results
clearly to attract people who have an interest in your work and your
paper.
-
Posters must not exceed the ISO A0 paper size (width x height =
83.96cm × 118.82cm). The poster's header should clearly show the paper’s title,
authors’ names, and (organisations). The poster should be designed
so that all text, figures and tables are readable from a distance of
up to two meters. The recommended font size for the main text is
25pt.
Make your poster as self-explanatory as possible. This will save your
time to use for discussions and questions.
-
Authors of poster papers will each have available one side
of a cloth pin-up board (numbered), with approximately (width x height =
120cm × 150cm) pin-up area.
There will probably be another presentation on the reverse side of the
board. Posters can comprise a single large sheet or several smaller
sheets attached to the pin up board.
-
Carefully prepare your poster well in advance of the conference.
There will be no time or materials available for last minute
preparations at the conference. If you think you may need certain
materials to repair the poster after traveling, BRING THEM WITH YOU.
-
Authors should bring with them, the means to attach the poster to the
board (pins, Velcro dots etc).
Otherwise you may pre-mount your presentation on your own
board.
Thank you for presenting
